Inspiring

This class was inspiring. The students were goofy. The teacher was funny. I really like  the new tricks I learned for English in the future.

Closer to the end

We getting closer to the end. Our last class was this week. I learned a lot in Mr.Wolf class. I can say he was a really intelligient person. I didn't really have a major goal. I learned some new things though.

What if?

This week in Mr. Wolf's class we are preparing for our final exam. I am ready to start my research on what my topic will be. I believe this will be helpful in my next English class because it will make my mind more open for broader topics. I am getting closer to my goal I just have to persevere and make sure I get all my work done.

Film Review Blog prompt

 Yes it was worthwhile because it was relaxing and kind of like a reward for all of our hard work over the semester.
  I do think I was prepared when the time came to write a film review because I had all my notes ready and understood the movie. My notes was the most effective in my preparation because it helped me draft and create my paper.
Yes I did enjoy working on this assignment because it was all worth while with the movies that we watched. The movies were enjoyable and Donnie Darko is one of my favorite movies now.

Definition Essay Reflection

My approach to writing this essay matched the approach to previous assignments. I tried my best on all of the assignments and did it to the best of my abilities.
 The aspects of this assignment that gave me difficulty was defining what was time travel to me. It was hard at first but then I understood the concept after Mr. Wolf explained it to me.
The aspects that came easy to me was describing what I thought was time travel because I got to tell my point of view of what I call time travel.
  Yes I enjoyed working on this assignment because it let me tell what I thought was tie travel. I also like this assignment because it let me express the way I feel about what I love.

Comparing

 This week we are comparing the movies we watched in class. I feel this project is going to be challenging. Just like any challenge I will overcome Mr.Wolf grades hard so I have to work hard get an A and just persevere the rest of the semester. Nothing can get the best of you as long as you stay focused and be prepared. I am getting closer and closer to my goals ad one day I hope to achieve them all.

300: Rise of an empire Film Reviewer

This film review about 300 rise of an empire talked to much about the theme. The film reviewer was very judgmental about the actors and his opinions about them. The film reviewer was to drawn out on the director and how his style was like the original 300 director. Donnie Darko

 This week in Mr. Wolf class we are watching movies and doing film reviews. I really like this movie Donnie Darko because it is funny. I know the weeks are going by so fast and the semester is almost over. It has been fun and we are still leaning new things in English and in my other classes as well. I hope I get t pull of this 4.0 I know I can and I will.

Movie Time

 This week in Mr.Wolf class we are comparing and contrasting films. It is a really good movie so far. I hope the other movie be just as good. It is a interesting project and it is very helpful to my comparing and contrast skills.

Time Travel To Me

This week in Mr. Wolf class we are learning about grammar corrections and doing an essay telling what time travel is to exercising because it really feels like time travel how everything slows down. I like this project because it let us tell what we want do and what we like to do as a hobby and how it relates to time travel. I believe this is going to be fun because I like typing.

Reflection Prompts Brochure

Why did you pick the audience/demographic you chose to go with? What led to this decision?
 I pick this audience because I feel most prisoners are falsely accused and don't deserve the time the judge give them for their sentence. What led me to this decision is my Uncle Jerrod he is in a penitentiary and the judge gave him 20 years in prison ad I don't think he deserve that time.

Why are you confident about this assignment? Did you fully understand the prompt and elements that were required? Which parts confused you the most? Which parts did you best understand?
I am confident about this assignment because I feel Mr.Wolf made the material easy to understand and I just followed protocol. I understood the elements and prompt that were required it was different but I followed the directions so I got it done without a lot of difficulty. The only part that was confusing was trying to make sure my presentation matched up with my brochure. What I understood best was not putting "time travel" in our brochure.

How did you prepare for the verbal component of this project?
I practiced for 20 minutes three times a day so that I could make sure I was presentable. This is how I prepared for the verbal component of this project.

Did you enjoy working on this assignment. Why/Why not?
Yes I enjoyed working on this assignment. I say this because it made it a little challenging and different than assignments in the past. Also we had to literally deal with past tense in this assignment so that was helpful also.

Brochure presentation

This week we presented in Mr. Wolf class and it was interesting. I liked it because I got to break the ice and set the tone. It helped me get better at presenting. I think we should present more because we will need that in the future. I'm looking forward to learning more things in English that are valuable in the future. To me I could of did better because its always room for improvement.

Grammar and Time Travel

 This week in Mr. Wolf class we are learning more about grammar and how to use it. Its interesting I like the time travel brochures but I wish we got to pick our own topics. I think I did good on mines hopefully I got an A. We are doing a presentations on Monday. I know I'm going to do good. I am getting better everyday in English and I hope the things Mr. Wolf teaches us help me to get even better.

Subordinate + Coordinate

This week in Mr.Wolf class we are learning about conjunctions and I am learning how to use them in a sentence. We take turns learning how to use the conjunctions but I think I need more practice with them before I am any good at them. This week is going slow because of the snow but I should catch on to these conjunctions quick because Mr.Wolf class is the only class I had this week.

Why did you pick the tips that you picked or cut the ones that you cut?
I pick these tips because these related to my life. Also I pick these tips because it is actually how it is in Cleveland and how you really have to act to not jeopardize your life. 

 What do these tips say about your youth and your home? How does that message get delivered?
These tips say about my youth that it was fun but you still had to be aware of the crazy things going out in these streets. Also it says about my home that we are very spiritual and humble. This message gets delivered when I talk about never settle for less and always beware of your surroundings.

Did you enjoy working on this assignment. Why/why not?

 Yes I enjoyed working on this assignment because it let us tell about how we live back home. I also like this assignment because it lets us tell how we made it from where we come from.

Time traveling

 This week we partook in making our own time traveling manual for Mr.Wolfs class it was interesting. Maybe he is trying to see our background and how it was growing up. I don't know but it was cool . This is a good class and as long as Mr.Wolf  stays enthused and more activity's like these I believe we will learn new techniques to improve ourselves as writers.

Intriguing

This week and Mr. Wolf class we are learning about time travel. I think it is interesting to learn about Time travel because it is very under rated in reality. Also I think we should have more raffles about topics with our classmates .I saying this because it lets us work with certain topics we would never think about from our point of view. More importantly Mr. Wolf teaching our class is going to be a good thing because he is enthusiastic . Mr.Wolf has a lot of interesting ideas although I think we should be able to use our ideas also on certain topics.

American Execution

 The time is 12:00 the bell strikes and all the prisoners enter the yard.  The guard chews the gum nervously to watch for any suspicious activity. Plays with his pencil as he sweats to write down anything that goes wrong. Then he stands up and adjust his clothes to get ready just in case any prisoner ants to act tough and play crazy. Then he bites his nails when he sees one gang approaching the other and he get ready to draw his gun. Then realizes that they are just passing by each other no problem occurs.

                                                                       Introduction
 
    This week I learned a few tricks in English class. I watched a movie and now understand what it means to break the fourth wall http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-P6p86px6U. I believe this class is going to be interesting if Mr. Wolf keeps up the enthusiasm. This week we also learned the difference between brainstorming and free writing. In my upcoming paper, I will use both techniques. I look forward to learning a few new techniques to add to my arsenal in the field of writing this semester.
